I first bought biom8 back in 2016 after years of red flaky facial seb derm and many years of hydrocortisone use (as a daily moisturiser even) and then a horrid year of steroid withdrawal. It was my holy grail product for about 4 years and cleared up my face wonderfully – no redness, no flakes, even oiliness had reduced massively. My routine was just moisturise after shower w/ Neutrogena clear and defend, and then pm: biom8 and sometimes a benzoyl peroxide cream for hormonal acne.

HOWEVER, and very unfortunately, my skin started to go pear shaped again during covid lockdown in 2020, even with this winning minimal routine. After taking a break from biom8, every time i’ve went back to it, my face immediately erupts into redness leaving it very tight and hot, akin to an allergic reaction. If I use just MCT oil from Amazon, it works fairly well and similar, but not as good as the peak of my earlier biom8 years. The redness and oiliness have returned, seemingly permanently and biom8 only seems to make it worse now. I remember thinking if biom8 ever stopped production, I would be screwed. It turns out I am screwed regardless, since either my skin has suddenly changed and become even more intolerant/hypersensitive, or the biom8 formula has changed.

Had I rated this product any time between 2016-2020, it would have been an easy 5 stars. But the frustration of being unable to use it anymore for some unknowable reason forced me to write this review. I wonder if this has happened to anyone else, but I really hope it hasn’t.

For me did’nt work BIOM8. After using on several times and different periods
the effect that produces on my skin is even more oily, not reducing inflammation and redness. I have SD for 13 years in all over the scalp, eyebrows, ears and T-zone. Anyway I do appreciate efforts like this and the website creation skindrone.

, I live in Guatemala and I’m trying to place and order with a Guatemalan credit card to ship it to the USA so someone can bring it to me when that person comes to Guatemala , when I enter the credit card and the phone number it switches back to Guatemala , while in Amazon I can order with a card from Guatemala with no problem at all. Maybe I’m doing something wrong I’ll update when I figure it out ,

    Update

I’ve finally was able to order , they were very helpful in assisting me , I’m looking forward to receive the product and try it out. I will continue to update when I try it out.

I tried BIOM8 after many rather unsatisfying attempts to treat the symptoms of SD on my nose, chin and between the eyebrows – a condition that has been affecting me for the past 10 years or so (i am in my late 20s, male). Among others, I had tried topical antifungals such as Clotrimazole and Ketoconazole, sea salt, apple cider vinegar and others before. I gave BIOM8 a try for two 2-week periods, during which I continued to maintain a rather strict no-dairy-no-sugar-diet – this has been the most effective measure so far. The overall effects were mixed. I did notice a reduction of flaking, and mostly a general improvement of the skin’s appearance, but after a few days I tended to get little spots on the treated areas, which I would attribute to the treatment. Maybe I was too lavish in the amounts applied. I will continue to use BIOM8 from time to time, but not regularly, and primarily rely on apple cider vinegar to reduce flaking.

Unfortunately for me, this product seems to prevent further symptoms but does not clear up skin conditions.

This is an update to my earlier review. The Biom8 was great for about two weeks and then completely stopped working. I continued to use it but my SD ignored it and continued to flare up. Back to the never-ending grind to find products that work I guess.
